Hello
Please could I ask how long is it usually from the time the OR sends a letter saying that Moonbeevers have been appointed to them getting in touch.
Happy new year x |

Hi Nicola
It can take a few weeks for you to hear from the collecting solicitors Moonbeever. You must keep your wage slips as they will need to see them and check when the code has been implemented, but saying that your code may never start as its very close to the end of the financial year and may not be worth their while doing. I take it that it has not started as of yet.
I would not worry about it though, if you are going to hear it wont be too long.
Have a great new year :-)

Moonbeevers are the company who collect monthly IPO payments on behalf of the OR. If you have excess funds after paying your bills each month, the OR can order you pay a percentage of those funds for 3 years (an IPO) and Moonbeevers collects the payments.

Hi Moonbeever are the collecting agents that indeed collect IPA payments, NT Code IPA payments and if your unlucky to get one IPO payments.
They are instructed by your OR to collect the monies on their behalf, Moonbeever is one collecting agent i believe there are others that can be instructed to collect the payments too.
The only way the OR can order you to pay out of the disposable income (IPO) is you dont agree with the Income Payments Agreement (IPA) made by them and they would then have to take you to court to get the court to make it into an order (IPO).
Take care

My payments are collected by Clarke Willmott, and they took a while to contact me. It was 3 months from me going BR to making my first payment, and I think it would have been longer of I hadn't chased them up.

Hello, on a side note we went BR in October. My other half has not paid tax for 2 months therefore we have £460.00 sat in the bank. We sent the last 3 wage slips via fax to Moonbeevers on Monday 29.12.08
When do you think Moonbeevers will advise us the amount owed and will they go for the whole £460.00 (arrears at once) then £230.00 per month or want £230.00 per month for 6 months?

Hi Sleeplessnights
If you wanted to you could give them a call on Monday and find out when they will want there money sent to them.
Maybe they have forgotten it has been christmas, but they will no doubt be in contact soon.
I would keep the money to one side and have it ready to send once they ask for it. We were lucky i suppose as they contacted us beg of Oct, the first payment went out end of Oct. We went bankrupt 4/8. So quite quickly, we have 3 left to pay now.
Best of luck and let us know how it all goes

Paul, do you think Moonbeever will take over all the payments, or will Clarke Willmott carry on with the existing ones?
I suppose it could explain why the woman at CW wasn't interested when I phoned them a couple of months ago!

Hi Skippy
I don't know but should probably find out.
I suspect that there is no point in changing the process for the IPA's that deal with the NT tax code position as there is a natural run off.
However the 3 year IPA may be different.
I have also noticed that Moonbeever seem to be much more interested than CWC in seeing payslips on an ongoing basis.
I wonder if their pitch to the insolvency service included a higher return due to much more scruitny on pay over 3 years ( bonuses, etc etc)

I went BR in November and I'm still paying PAYE tax as normal (although due to a cock up with current employers I haven't been paid for last month so I don't have a payslip yet). How soon does it take for the NT code to be implemented and for someone to tell me how much tax they want from me? |
