Hi GMS

I would have thought this would be down to the mobile provider. I had 2 contracts with o2 one for myself and one for my son in my name, each of these had been paid and on time prior to my bankruptcy, as soon as o2 knew i was insolvent they promptly cancelled my contracts and billed me for the rest of my contract term, luckily i had included them in my statement of affairs.

My sons one was paid for by him, but like you in my name.

Dont know if this has helped at all. Who is the contract with?

Hi GMS

O2 let us keep the phones, we are now on pay as you go, they did not want the phones back, the amount owing to the end of the contract has been included in my bankruptcy and so written off if you like.

It may be worth going PAYG now, she can keep her number once you have gone BR, i did not, i chose 3 payg sims that all corresponded so that myself, my oh and my son had similar numbers.

We top up £15 pm and get free o2 to o2 calls and unlimited o2 to o2 texts.

Its actually cheaper for us now and less hassle.

Best of luck
