my husband is going to file for bankruptcy as he owes more than £70,000 this has been through 2 businessess and loans to keep afloat, i also have debt about £13,000 and on my income i cannot surpport both of us we are going to have to move into rented accommadation and iam self employed, and listed as a partner on one of the businesses, we are now discussing joint bankruptcy what are the chances that we do this and both start afresh?

Hi

there is no such thing as joint bankruptcy but I assume you mean you are both considering declaring bankruptcy individually.

It is very common for both spouses / partners to declare bankruptcy at the same time if that's what you decide.
