Hi, my wife has finally moved out of her shop. Her lease should expire in June 2009, but she couldnt possibilly countinue to trade.

She has no assets or stock left, so we was thinking worst case scenario is landlord try to send baliffs around. But we are renting flat and tenancy and car is under my name.Or they make her bankrupt or she makes herself bankrupt.

Landlords secetery phoned us this morning, saying she heard the property has been vacated. So, iam guessing they are starting proceedings now?

So i was wondanding should she let the electric, telephone & Business rates people know she has vacated or should she just leave it, till they contact her?

Also should she send keys back to landlord?

Hope anybody can help, thanks

I think it would be best to let the electric & telephone people know so that her debts don't increase. Maybe it would be best to see what the landlord wants done with the keys, I would imagine she'd fell better for handing them back.
