A lot of people on here seem to have appointments in court for bankruptcy orders. Is this when you apply online or something?
I know i just turned up at the High Court and lined up to pay the fee and submit my forms then wait for the bankruptcy order later the same day. My wife also just turned up.
Many courts like my own were a little county court and we had to book an appt for the actual hearing.
Your one in a way you were lucky to be able to turn up but at the same time if they were busy you may have had to go back.
The good thing about making an appt is you should def get the bankruptcy done that day.

The key thing is to phone the local court, check you have the right one, and check with them what their procedure is.
Some are on the day as a first come first served, some limit the numbers and others are by appointment only.
Swindon requires you to attend at least 1 week before to hand over the paperwork so the clerk can check for errors and this allows them a week to prepare the file for the judge. Other clerks manage to complete this task in 10 minutes while you wait.
Always check first to avoide surprises.
