Hey Joella
I personally would withdraw any cash out of the bank to cover your bills etc. and then put a nil balance on the form.
Is it an account that you are going to continue to use once br or have you opened another one ready ?
Onwards and Upwards is the way im going :-0)
From "Moneyworries" to "Movin On" in 3 months is fantastic :-))

I also opened my Coop account pre BR and informed Coop that this was my 'plan' (for want of a better word), my account was and still is running fine.
The OR will also write to the coop to inform them they are not interested in this account.
Hope it helps

Hi just a quick question also about leaving money in account. We have set up the co-op account. On the day we go bankrupt(Friday) I was going to leave £125 in to pay my elec/gas the following Tue this should go out by Direct Debit. Looking at what people are saying will the account get frozen and the bill will not be paid. Not sure what to do now Any help gratefully received!

If its in the Coop and you inform the OR at the time of the call that the money in there is for the dd's then fingers crossed they will see that and it should be ok.
Just make sure that you inform them when you speak to them that first time.

Thank you
I have not told the Co-op I am going bankrupt but I opened the account over the phone and they have been really good so am hoping they let me keep the account open. We use cash at the moment to pay everything and it works so much better. You actually think about what you are spending.
Thank you to everyone who has left comments about things it really does help people who are about to go bankrupt. You feel like you have someone on your side.
