Hello all,
I was advised that my wife and i should open co-op accounts prior to applying for BR. We currently have a joint HSBC account which we pay the household bills, mortgage etc from (although we are unable to pay mortgage, loans etc at the moment). Should we open a joint co-op account before BR and transfer utility bills etc to that account but not our creditors?
Are there any websites, or does anyone know what the allowed expenses are for a couple, with no children and who both work full time. I mean for food, telephone, going out, haircuts etc etc.
Any help would be great, thanks. |

If you go through my blog i have a link to the expenses that may be allowed, its a bit out of date but can be used as a rough guide for you.
The account you can open before and get the DD's etc sorted out. I did mine the day of my bakruptcy but some have opened theres prior.
I had all wages and things paid into another account prior to that.
Best of luck
