will my wife credit rating be affected if i go bankrupt we have a joint mortgage ,but im going to be moving out as this is putting to much strain on our marriage.

Hi B199,

Yes, your wife's credit rating will be affected. However, you can complete a Notice of Dissasociation with the credit reference agencies which will mitigate this.

Hi Julian,

Happy New Year.

I just wondered how effective those Notices of Disassociation are? Even if a couple divorce and make a notice all their financial association search and account information will still be on file and potential crediros would just still hold it against them, wouldn't they?
