Hi Guys

I had to share this. Today we had an email from Zoopla, our house has dropped again surprise, surprise and so i thought i would contact the OR and ask about this.

In Sept we had letters asking if we wanted to buy the BI which at the time we could not and i refused to let someone else loan me the money when its our problem, so we returned the letters and said NO.

We have today rung them and asked if it is now possible to buy the BI seeing as we said no before, and would they allow this. Our OR came back to me and said YES. We need to send down the letter they will send out, a copy of the Zoopla valuation, our latest mortgage balance statement and a local estate agents valuation which we have to hand.

He told me that if the drive by valuation they get done also shows the same price range than that should be that. So fingers crossed.

We now have by our calculations neg equity and so we really want to get this sorted out, we have not had our file go to the RTLU as of yet as the OR told me they are waiting for bits to come in but that in a way has helped as we can still deal with them.

So i am just waiting on the letter from the OR then it can all go off to them. I asked if i needed a 3rd party to buy the BI if we can as we both went BR and he said NO if you are in NEG then either of you can buy it, if there is value then a 3rd party would need to do that.

I am so pleased i might get to keep this house sooner than i think.

I will let you know how it pans out.

LOL

Hi Jenny

I thought the info on how the equity and BI work with regards to a persons bankruptcy whether its a couple or a single person was the best advice as i thought that us a couple that had both gone bankrupt that we could not buy it if its in neg but i was wrong.

Hopefully that will help others asking the same question.

LOL

Could be cleared upsooner than you thought so that's good. I checked on Zoopla out of curiosity & my 3 bedroom house was supposedly worth more than the big 4 bedroom houses on the street!! However, if you can look at the actual price houses sold for around you I would imagine that is a much sounder base to work from?
