If you file for bankruptcy does it go in the newspapers and also if you own your home and are current with payments on your mortgage, can your credit card lenders take your house?
Yes it is placed in the newspapers. Also on the internet.
Your house is at risk if you go Bankrupt!! However this does depend on how much equity there is in the property, as to whether you will loose it. Is the property jointly owned?
