hi all,
firstly thankyou for your kind messages of support
well we arrived at court at 8.30, wanted to be nice and early ! we got to see the bankruptcy clerk at 9am what a lovely lady, put us totally at ease, and didnt make us feel crap in any way she went through our SOA to make sure all was in order, that was all fine, then we had to swear our oath, and pay the money then we went off for a cuppa whilst waiting to be called, they were late in calling us but then we were taken in to see the judge, he asked us to sit down, then said " i just need to check that everyting in the forms was correct regarding our assets " to which we nodded in agreement, he then said " petition granted " and that was it !!!! must hae taken all of 20 seconds then we went back to the clerk where she then gave us all or official documents and told us the OR will call us later today and if we needed any further help to call them anytime ..............how easy was that
i hope this reassures anyone else about to embark on bankruptcy

hi there... well done today! glad it went well for you...
had my interview with OR today which also went well.. he was such a nice young lad, very reassuring and calm.. made me a nice cuppa when i got there. Was only there for just over an hour and all the things i worried about he didn't even mention! he asked me alot about why i carried on using cards / loans etc when my earnings were getting less etc, and i just said i thought we would be able to pay them back in the future.
He makes up a report for you to sign and then sends it off up to london to be looked at. He said he thinks i will probably get BRU / BRO for "continuing to spend on cards etc with no reasonable means of paying it back" but he said it shouldn'e be a long bro/bru.
Just so relieved to get the interview out of the way - i cried at every question but only because i was so worried about it all. In the end his report made my bankruptcy sound very straightforward and factual.
The chap was so friendly though.. kept asking if i needed a break and had a big box of tissues which was great!!! he was even going to let my 2 year old come with me to the interview but luckily i got a childminder!
i spent most of the time looking out the window whilst he put my long and confusing answers into short factual statments on the report!
anyway - good luck for the rest of your BR.. well done for today. |
