Hi all ive been reading alot on the forum and its a massive help and so good to see im not alone but really need advice, am so so happy i found this forum. i have got advise elsewhere and basically i wont even afford an IVA right now,
i did some research some time ago and seen that bankrupcy can affect my immigration status before i become nationalized something i cant afford to loose. - question - i am nationalised now just recently about 2 weeks ago and am about to apply for my british passport, if i apply for BR now will this affect it??please advice if you can on this. i am roughtly 24,500 pounds in debt. i have had it for 6 years now its been a serious weight on my shoulders, i just cant keep up i get calls from creditors everyday at any hour. it brings me down so much i get really withdrawn as everyone around me seems really happy and comfortable. anyway to cut a long story short i am an administrator, i earn 1300 a month and my outgoings for necessary expenses eg rent, clothes, food, household necessities, travel card to work, electricity is basically 1200. i dont have a car but need one asap as i have a 18th month baby (single mom). i am just about getting by month to month surviving on minus balances. please advise. thanking you for your advice already. |

Hi
as a bankruptcy advisory tool the forum members are unlikely to be able to answer your question.
Bankruptcy may affect your passport application but I doubt it. Your concern is of course an immigration question.
To know for sure you would need to contact the pass office issuing the passport. Perhaps anonymously.
Sorry couldn't be any more of a help.

Perhaps you can double check with the passport office.
If it does ( I think unlikely) effect the passport position then enter a short term debt management plan until the passport issue is sorted out then you can present your documents to the court.
