Hi,

If I am lucky enough to receive a bonus this year (April), then I assume I will have to tell either the solicitors collecting or the OR office. As this will be abywhere between 1K - 2K on top of normal salary, does the OR take it all or will I get to keep some of it (and how much of it).

My bonus has traditionally been the holiday fund. Although I have put £80 a month for a holiday in my IE, a family of four cannot get far these days on about 1K and my bonus has always topped up the holiday pot.

I know I cant have it all my way, but interesting to know if it all goes...or if I get to keep any.

Regards

i

Im not too sure on that one, maybe you can once you know the amount negotiate with the OR, other than that not sure.

Maybe one of the other experts will have an answer as i would like to know too

Best of luck

I think they will take it all, but not 100% per cent sure on that, I just remember reading about bonuses recently.

Are you allowed a holiday allowance in your I&E? We weren't.

You should have been allowed a family break not holiday as such, but saying that all OR offices and guidelines are different.

LOL

Our OR said a break/holiday was not allowed, and he cut the clothing allowance for 5 from £100 down to £80 and he commented that the food was rather high at £545 but did not cut it.

Maizie

I think you will have to contact the collecting agents who in turn will contact the OR and find out about this. Is that for the year or per month.

We had a rise of about £80 per month and told the OR our NT IPA changed by £15 per month due to it.

Hi Maizie

You do still need to contact them as you have a duty until discharge at least to do so and within 21 days so i would even though it wont make any difference, better to be safe than sorry.

Hi,

Nothing was questioned on my IPA, I put xmas, birthday presents and holiday down. This was documented at initial interview and has only just started (last May).

Great...no bonus for 3 years...! But I suppose being debt free is a bonus. What annoys me is the hoops I have to jump though to even get a bonus, the paperwork, interviews, setting of targets....all to be given to someone else.

Regards

i

As I say, I am not entirely sure about the bonus.

you were very lucky getting holiday, Xmas, birthdays, etc allowed!

If you look at it this way, it's not being given to somebody else, just clearing a bit of your debt & in 3 years you'll be debt free entirely.

I went BR to be debt free....if any of the IPA makes it to the creditors after fees I would be amazed.

I think its more paying my dues than paying my debts...!
