Mortgage company also said that we had LEGALLY to advise of forwarding address so we could be updated about arrears etc. We will be getting a royal mail post redirect on our post. Is this right do we have to advise them of new address legally??

I've not heard of that, I just kept in contact by phone and collected the letters from the old house, I did ring NR to tell them I had been made bankrupt, at that point I gave them my new address but 2 days later, a man from NR came around to my new house asking me what my intentions were regarding the house! Even though I had explained to them on the phone 2 days previously

You don't have to tell them.

Is your property being repossessed? Is there a chance of negative equity when it is sold?

Hi

You are contractually required to advise the mortgage company of any material change - including address change.

However as you are surrendering the house you will already be in breach of their T's and C's.

It is not a criminal act if you don't give them your new address!

Thanks again Paul.

Dont really want to tell them new address, if they want to find us they can do the legwork.

Fresh start and all that.

Take care
