We went BR individually on October 6th 2008.

The mortgage was in my name and I appreciate getting the final figure will take time as the house will have to be sold etc...(we gave it back to Northern Rock who were unreasonable).

My partner has been paying an IPA? ie her tax to MoonBeevers on a monthly basis.

Her creditors were Barclays, A&L and Picture which Picture was a 2nd mortage but it was in oth our names.

When will she find out about the BRU? I assume we have to wait until the estate has been finalised etc but just looking for advice really.

Thanks
Matt

Hi

A BRU can start after the OR has informed you of their intentions and once both you and they have signed it, they have about 10 months from the date of your bankruptcy to get one started and if they have not done so as they are waiting for stuff they can delay your discharge and still place you in one. To do that they need to apply to the court.
