hi im 19 years of age and considering bankruptcy as i don't know any other options, could some one please advise me as to how to handle this please.

basically im a new student, when i turned 18 i took advantage of the credit being offered to me. now im away from home, without a job at the minute as i am currently suffering from pretty bad IBS,being sick at least 5 times a day and i am unable to work, and onli my student loan, with 300 a month to survive on, plus the odd 20 from my parents.

the debt is from 5 creditors, one being a bank who closed my account due to me having gone over my overdraft limit, due to direct debits from the creditors, and i have received correspondence from a law firm.

they are demanding 700pound now

one is from dell for 700 pound

one is a credit card for 250

the last two are from cautologes in the amount of 1000, all approx

If you are thinking of bankruptcy for the 2.5k then i would wait till the new Debt relief orders take affect sometime in April. It may be more worth your while and has less of an impact on your credit file.

This link shows the basics so far, but i would try and wait if you can, make an offer to them even if its £1 pm:
