When and how do we find out this is being applied? Do they just notify employer to do this or would they notify me aswell? |

Hi Help
You should get a letter from the IR, and also it would show as NT on your wage slip once applied.

Hi Help007,
The OR would write to the tax office to arrange this, who in turn would write to your employer. However, it only applies to the financial year in which you went BR. Therefore, given the amount of time it takes to set up, if you've recently gone BR, it unlikely they'll bother with the NT tax code at all.
