Hi,

Just wanted to get peoples experiences of how long after going BR or OR interview did banks close your accounts and mobile phone providers end your contracts.

Cheers, Crockett

My bank account wasn't frozen and I kept my mobile contract.

I didn't owe Lloyds any money, and I was up to date with my mobile phone bills, so I didn't mention it on my SOA. I told the OR's examiner that I had a mobile contract, and I was told they weren't interested in it.

Thanks for the replies.

Well I went bankrupt last week on 21st got OR interview next Weds 4th Jan. I put Natwest account on form (maybe stupdly!) but want to keep account open (have opened coop in the meantime)don't owe them any money and my branch said ok to keep account open, but am just paranoid to start using the account incase I transfer money from coop and they suddenly freeze my account and I loose the money. I didn't mention Orange on my SoA so don't know whether to mention to OR or not, I'm not in arrears and really want to keep my contract as have been with them for years so have got a really good deal.

You did the right thing declaring the Natwest account as all open accounts have to be declared. Good luck keeping it open.

I went bankrupt in October and detailed all of my bank accounts on my SoA - including the Co-op cash minder that i had set up the month before in anticipation of the others being closed - i guess they must have been but cut up my debit cards and sent them to OR - and havent looked back since!

I have an existing mobile contract with Vodafone - i didnt detail this on my SoA as i dont owe them any money (at least i cant remember a section asking for mobile phone contract details) and Vodafone havent cancelled it. Hope they dont as we dont have a land line and i rely on the mobile.

The only time the OR broght my mobile contract up was when we were talking about my I+E and she told me i would have to pay for the mobile out of my disposable income

Cheers - Tifosi

I'm with Vodafone as well. I don't have a landline in my name so I listed my mobile bill under telephone and it was never mentioned.
