If I have a car on finance and the car is in both myself and my partners name. Would I have to still return the car. Even tho a car is needed to transport myself to work and back?

Hi Simon,

Depends what you mean by 'on finance'.

Personal loan ? PCP? H.P?

If H.P there is something called the 'rule of halves and thirds' which may be applicable.

Hi

We went BR last year, we have a leasehold car, the OR wasn't interested in the vehicle and said it was up to the finance company, so we rang them and they were happy enough for us to keep the vehicle, as our payment history was very good. Looking at the figures there wouldn't have been much if any eqyity available if the car had been sold anyway.

So my advice would be to speak to your OR and ask his advice,

Good Luck
