Hi muz,

Welcome to the forum,

I am assuming you are referring to keeping your car in Bankruptcy?

They would normally not be interested in a car of little value, Vehicles valued over £2500 is where the sale of the vehicle would perhaps be warranted, however it is not unheard of for them to seize a vehicle of little value if the debtor has no need of a vehicle i.e. not working, can walk to work etc.

So you need to be clear that the vehicle is required for getting to work taking children to school etc.

Hope this helps

Brett

Hi Muz

absolutely right the car would be safe on a number of grounds .

Is there any special reason you are considering bankruptcy. if you would like to share your situation we may be able to confirm your thoughts or indeed give you other options etc.
