Hi All,
I am sure somewhere I have read peoples experiances of going to the high court, but for some reason I cant find them.
I am going tomorrow, forms are all done and checked about a thousand times. Printed out the 3 copys and have the £495 plus the £7 for swearing on the bible.
Am worried that I will go to the wrong place, as the building looks so big. I am looking to get there about 8am, I know it doesnt open till 9am but I like to be early.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apologies, I have no persoanl experience of the HIgh Court other than the fact that I know they are always extremly busy. Going early is a very good tactic.
No doubt the Bsnkruptcy Section will be well sign posted. Good luck

That is completely normal - and i remember that feeling well. However this time tomorrow your new life will have begun.
Nothing anyone tells you will make it any easier, however I promise it will not be anywhere near as bad as you imagine

Hi
sorry have been up to my ears.
The High Court.
Firstly if you have not already been there and paid your fees don@t turn up at 9.00am as you will have a 1 hour wait.
Procedure:-
Go through the main doors on the Strand ( as seen on TV) through the metal detectors and turn right following the signs for the FEES OFFICE.
It is a bit of a trek and is not mega well sign posted.
There will be a small wait but not too bad.
You will need 1 set of the Statement of Affairs and your fee of £507. They will take the fee and stamp the front of the form and give you a receipt.
You then need to make your way back down to the main hall, and walk to the length of the Great Hall then follow the signs for the Thomas Moore Building.
Again a bit of a trek.
I think it is in room 212 on the second floor ( well signposted for Bankruptcy). You need to que up and wait for your slot at the window.
The clerk will go through the Statement of Affairs, ask you to complete any missing bits, and then eventually ask you to sign the forms and either swear on the bible or make an oath.
They then type their own Br petition document ( they don't use the standard ones from the Insolvency Service) .
Provided you are at this window before 12 you are fine.
Once finished with the clerk they will ask you to go away and return to the same building / 1st floor at 2pm.
at around 2.10pm the lady comes along with all the petitions for the day and hands out the court orders. You are VERY unlikely to see a judge.
After you get the form you are free to go.
The OR will call within 10 days to have a telephone chat.
