Hi all. I go BR on the 9th of March. Would someone have a look over my I and E and see if looks ok. I have a wife and two young children;
Mortgage £970
Housekeeping £500
Gas/Electric £120
Water £41
Telephone £55
Travelling to/from work £180
Clothing £155
Council tax £100
Tv license £12
Is ther anything else I can add like holidays etc?
Also I would like to ask the following;
I start a full time job on the 2nd of march (1 week before BR), but dont get paid until beggining of April. Im currently on JSA. Do I put my proposed income from new job or previous income from benefits?
Sorry for all questions but Im just desperate to get everything right.
Once again thanks.

Hi potless

my views on your current list are as follows:-

Mortgage = Fact // H/Kpng £550 // G&E ok// Water ok // Phone ok // Travel cost = fact // Clothing £120 // CoTax = fact // TV licence = Fact.

You also may want to consider adding any of these:-

Vehicle costs (if you have one- ins + tax + MoT + servicing + repairs + AA/RAC); Domestic Break - up to £80 for a family of 4 // Hairdressing - £30 // Dry Cleaning £15 // Pet food&Ins if fact// prescriptions // childcare if fact// child activities £30// meals at work up to £2.50 per day // school meals if fact // optician if fact // dental plan if fact //

As per previous thread, if you commence your new job March 2 and declare March 9 then you must enter the income figure as that which will be gained from your new job. Do not add the JSA benefit as this will not be being claimed as at March 9.

Please glance over the follwoing links from the IS website;

http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/freedomofinformation/technical/TechnicalManual/Ch25-36/Chapter31/part7/part2/part_2.htm

and

http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/DocumentLibrary/Policy/Excel/Household%20Expenditur.xls

You should base your figures on the guidelines contained as the examiners will do their calculations from those very web pages.

Your housekeeping figure appears to be £1 less than the £501 for 2 adults and 2 children so hopefully you are already on the ball.

Please also see my recent post in which I put down a whole host of IS website links.

consilio et animis

Good luck.
