Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that I've finally taken the plunge and decided to take the bankruptcy route after many months deliberating. Now I can't wait for the next 2 weeks to pass until I petition as I just want to get it over with and finally start a new life without debt. Thank you to everyone here who has given me advice over the past few months and sorry for inundating you with lots of questions and worries. I'm sure it won't be an easy ride with the OR, as a lot of my debts are gambling orientated, but at least I have now confronted my debts and I am attending counselling for the gambling problem. I am hoping the OR will be kind and let me keep my 13 year car, which is probably worth no more than £500 at best, but I'm prepared to lose it if need be. For once I am beginning to feel excited about starting afresh without the worry of credit breathing down my neck. I'm sure I'll be back on here just before my day at court (for reassurance) and the interview with the OR (will be total wreck by then I'm sure), but thanks again to everyone. I don't know what I would have done without all your support and advice.

You all deserve medals

Good luck xmas baby, I hope everything works out for you and you can begin a debt free life. Also well done for taking counselling for the gambling problem. I really wish you well
