I am planning to declare myself bankrupt next month. I am in receipt of incapacity benefit and not at all well with the stress after 2 redundancies.

I am due to get married in August and start university in September. My partner is aware of all this but is worried about what will happen to her income/assets if we get married.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Ns

If you are married after the Bankruptcy then this should not affect her, however they will take into consideration changes to income and expenditure, but as you will be a student this should not affect you either.
