Hi Sandie, I am glad your interview wasn't so bad with the OR, just a question as you are 63 can you not just legally retire? as the retirement age for women at the moment is 60 yrs old. I am coming up for 60 this year but have decided because of debts I will not retire just yet though if my husand goes bk I will take advice before hand on what is the best thing to do.

Perhaps Melanie can give you advice on whether retirement is an option and what difference it might make to your circumstances.

Thank you Lizzie.
Melanie, Lizzie has a point, I do get a retirement pension and a very small works pension, if I retire I would also get help with my council tax. What would your thoughts be on this? Bearing in mind the car problem, although the OR said that with the car market as it is at the moment it probably wouldn't be worthwhile them taking it from me, but he didn't seem to rule it out. Sandie
