Sorry one more question. The OR hasn't requested any evidence of my debts ie credit card statements or loan agreements or even a copy of my bank statements or wage slips. Will he do so at a later date.

Hi shirley
I think it would be unusual for this not to happen as I can't see how the OR could view your case without doing so.

Hi Shirley you will usually receive a letter from the case clerk chasing up statements etc, no worries just get together as much paperwork as you can and send it in to the OR

Hi Shirley
I went BR 10 months ago and the OR never asked me to send anything whatsoever. When I questioned it, the examiner said she would ask for anything if they needed it. My case involved my husband buying the BI in the house (which is now done) and I was and still am self employed and I had 19 creditors so it wasn't a particularly straight forward case by any means.
A friend of the family who has also gone BR and he didn't have to send anything either and has since been discharged but he was unemployed at the time.
I think cases must vary greatly from area to area. I wouldn't worry about it. |

I found this really strange to. My OR sounds quite new to the job and was taking everything very seriously but wasn't at all worried about receiving my statements etc in time for my interview?!
I sent everything next day delivery for her so she had it just in time but she didn't go into any of the intricacies of my spending, she just looked at the amounts as a whole on my Statement of Affairs, which I found quite relieving..
Is this normal or do they tend to go away and retrieve they're own statements direct from your creditors so they can properly scan through them?

Thanks for all the advice. I have all the paperwork ready. Should I send it or just wait for them to ask for it?

Hi Shirley
I asked at the phone interview and to be honest she didn't seem too bothered about it but I have made sure I kept everything safe and in one place just in case. According to the experts above you should send it all but if they haven't asked for it why fork out for all the postage yourself?
I'm sure if they want anything they will soon ask for it. I've got 2 months until discharge and they haven't asked for any statements or suchlike at all. |

When I had my telephone interview with the OR I had to provide my last 12 months bank statements and last 3 months pay statements.

I went BR on Tuesday. I spoke to the case clerk on Thur and she said she was sending documents/forms which I would have to send back within 7 days. These arrived on Sat.
They were a consent form (TNIDS) for them to enquire about my tax returns, a form NTB2 outlining duties and responsibilities, a blank IPA form and an Ethnic Monitoring form (this actually wasn't enclosed). Nothing about bank statements or anything else.
Perhaps this a preliminary stage before an interview, and also perhaps they can get their own copies of statements direct from my old bank? |

Hi I'm new to the forum and just wondered if anyone can tell me roughly how much it would cost for someone to buy the BI in a house with £15,000 negative equity. I am sure it would be £1 but has anyone an idea of the legal fees? Thanks

Hi and welcome.
It would cost £1 plus £211 in fees.
