Another hurdle crossed. I was declared bankrupt last wednesday and contacted natwest to find out whether I would be able to keep my step account. I was told that I would have to wait for them to be informed by the OR that I was bankrupt and that a decision would be made on an individual basis. This could take up to three weeks. As I can't leave it that long because of salary payment and bill payments I decided to contact the co-op by phone for a cashminder account. The process took about 10 minutes and I got an instant decision. I was accepted and I should receive everything in about 7-10 days. Great news.
