Hi there, can anyone help me with this please.
Went BR Sept 08, the OR wrote to my banks to advise them of this fact and the accounts were frozen. Subsequently the OR wrote to 2 where the a/c's were not overdrawn and said that they could open them and let me use them again. This was done and I have been using the accounts since. However...... I have just tried to use one and have found out that the Trustee has now wrote to the bank and again froze the account. My questions are
1) Can they do this
2) Why should they when the OR has already said they have no interest in it
3) Should I contact the trustee to try and get the account unfrozen
4) Do I just leave it and let sleeping dogs lie...

Its up to you - do you wish to operate this account for salary purposes if so, get in touch with the OR to get it unforzen. You only need to soperate one bankaccount whilst you are an undischarged bankrupt.

Thanks for the reply Mel, a bit more complicated than that, I may phone th ehelp line tomorrow.
Do I contact the OR to get it unfrozen or the Trustee? I have a copy of the letter that the OR sent to the bank last year stating they have no interest in it and it is teh trustee that has put a block on it this time.

Then contact the trustee and inform them that the OR allowed you to continue with the account, its all probably a mix up , they do happen. If the account is not for use of your salary though they are quite right to close it, you are permitted a bank account for income etc purposes - and 1 account only

Melanie, I had more than one account when I was BR - are you saying I shouldn't have done this?
