Hi there, I joined a little while ago but have only just got round to really making a start on the SOA for both my husband and me, I am pretty sure I may have asked this question before but I cant remember! Where it says on the forms 'what was this debt for' and say for example its a credit card you have had for 7 or 8 yrs, what do you put?! I cant remember what I did last week never mind what I bought all those yrs ago! Sorry if this is such an obvious question..and a repeated one! Thanks for any help/light you can shed Rachell |

Hi there, I am in same position as you, just filling in my form. Have been at it for weeks on and off. Biggest question for me, "When did you first start having problems". Really dont know how to answer that one as I reckon it been ten years or more but I have got credit during that time so dont want that to be held against me. Good luck! What a fab site. So helpful just sharing experiences.

it is a really good site isnt it, and good to know that we are not the only ones who are in the awful mess. I dont know when we first starting having problems with debt but I feel like answering..as soon as I signed the loan agreement or the back of the credit card! A friend said to me the other day, you wont get any credit now for yrs, my reply was why the hell would I want any!! |

Good luck anyway. I am like you, keep forgetting questions I ask. Feel awful cos dont want people to think I have not listened to advice before. Yep, just like you, first time problems when I signed the back of the credit card. Got lecture off my old father who still sees the whole BR thing with stigma attached and he "raised 7 kids". Like Melanie said i have just put everyday spending on form as if it was not for the credit cards I would have defaulted a long time ago on all my bills. |
