Hi All,
My hubby and I are booked in for April 17. We picked up the forms from court but think we may need someone that knows what they are doing to help us fill them in. His contract for work ends this Friday. Feel sick all the time, keep crying and wondering how the hell all this happened. The house is in o equity as we only got mortgage 2yrs ago but at the time the work was great. I have been reading the posts for a while. Does anyone know of folks that have gone br, that have made it back up the ladder? When we lose the house, would the council help us with that? We have 2 kids.. Really need help

Thanks

I know of many many people who have gone on to great things following bankruptcy - it is not the end of the world, but a way of drawing a line under a bad debt situation during a period where you cannot afford to repay you debt. It is meant to offer you a fresh start not to beat you over the head with a hard object.

My immeadiate neighbour had a large bantruptcy a few years ago (4) and has set up a really successful bridal design business employing staff she has a new 4 bed detached house albeit on a subprime mortgage, but is doing real well for herself - so there is a bright side!
try not to worry yourself too much life really can improve. The forms are not that difficult, they may look daunting at the first look but if yo sit down with all your paperwork to hand in a quiet room you should have no dificulty, if you do get stuck we are always herer on the forum to help - i'm sure you and your husband have better use for the minimumof £350 that people are charging for this service - the forms and process were designed for you to do it yourself and many, many people do, have a go you cn always shout for help if you get stuck!
