hi im about to go bankrupt next week and im giving my house up, i have just had my checks done for renting and are hoping to sign for it next week do i have to declare my bankruptcy to my landlord
well done for being pro active, it is far better to sort out alternative accommodation before filing for bankruptcy, as the credit checks done by the landlord would show up the bankruptcy and may result in either a refusal to let the property (rare) or a request for 6 months rent upfront (common) Let us know how your hearing goes and good luck!
