Hi Experts,What would happen to my personal pension if I was to go down the bankruptcy road?

Hi

that rather depends on whether you are claiming receipts now or not and if it will become due during your bankruptcy, and also whether or not it is an inland revenue approved scheme.

Thanks John not to sure what you mean about receipts,I will not be getting anything from the pension for another 15 years and also I think its a serps related pension hope that helps thanks

Hi

if its serps related and you will not be in receipt for another 15 years then the chances are the pension is safe.

I would advise you to speak to your pension provider on the subject.

Hi

I hadn't even thought about my pension! I'm only 30 so I wouldn't touch it for a long time. Would they be notified then? The pension administrator sits behind me at work
