I was discharged from bankruptcy last December. I phoned the NDU in Croydon to ask what was happening regarding settling my case so that I can proceed to get my debts marked as Satisfied or Partially satisfied. I was told that they had not even allocated anyone to my case and they had a huge backlog!

Interestingly, I asked what monies had been realised from the sale of my assets. One item which I know for a fact sold for £800 was on their books as only £450. Also, a van which should have raised at least £3000 at auction was down as only £2100. Someone is taking a nice cut somewhere......

The OR will instruct agents to collect and sell any assets. The agents costs for collection and disposal of item are deducted from any sale proceeeds hence the difference in the figures

Yes, I understand that. In the case of the £800 item, no collection took place. It was sold direct to a friend. All the agent did was take one phone call and issue an invoice. Not bad work for £350.
