The OR office said to carry on with my bank account as normal as they will have no interest in it with it being in credit. Will they still close it and go over it in detail with me later as it could be 6 weeks they said before an interview. What happens to money that I put into it in the meantime will the receiver expect any of it? I sometimes do freelance work although unemployed and wonder what happens now I am bankrupt. Does any money I earn from now on become mine, I am not talking about thousands of pounds. I understood as I was unemployed an order to pay monthly is unlikely.
If the account is in credit with no overdraft and not linked to any of your creditors you will be allowed to operate it, any money going into the account is yours, the OR may request the last 3 months statements or may not.

as Melanie has already pointed out the OR is clearly ok with you continuing to operate the account but please be aware that it is not the OR that closes accounts down in bankruptcy it is the banks themselves. Even if you do not owe the account provider any money they may still close it as a matter of policy.
