I have recently put myself through a bankruptcy, and i understand i will be discharged within 12months. But is there any possible way i can get this speeded up to maybe 4-6 months as we want to buy a house.

Hi,

I think it's down to the OR as to when you are discharged.

You do realise though that the BR will stay on your credit file for 6 years and so it is doubtful that you would be able to get a mortgage.

Thanks for the reply, is there no way of getting the BR taken off my credit file earlier than 6 years??

Hi

absolutely not I'm afraid.
The 6 year rule dates back to references made in the book of Deutorenomy so it ain't gonna change any time soon I'm afraid.
