Hi

you don't put it anywhere as your contributions will cease for the duration of your bankruptcy.

Hi

the contribution your employer makes can continue and in some circumstances yours can too.

In other circumstances your coontributions must cease just until discharge.

Sorry to be a pain..could you elabrate on that please....

What sort of circumstances? I rang my pension provider and they said they don't need to know about my BR and that it shouldn't be affected at all...

I'm a bit worried now...

Hi
as long as the scheme is inland revenue approved all will be ok.

If your pension provider has stated as much then he will know better than I so I wouldn't worry.

Thanks John. It's 'Local Government Pension Scheme' so I think it will be ok.

I was worried that the OR may tell me to stop paying in to it...

I carried on paying into my pension whilst I was bankrupt - the OR didn't even mention it.

I work for the civil service and, prior to bankruptcy, asked for confirmation that my pension is inland revenue approved, which they confirmed. so I assume I am safe and don't need to do anything about it. Is that right?
