It depends on how quick the OR inform them - it should be done on the day of the Bankruptcy - if the account is not linked to any other debt you can get the OR to unfreeze the account but it can take a few days - why not speak to your pay section and get your salary paid elsewhere for this month only?

Good luck for tomorrow, Tim. The best I can suggest is explaining the situation at the court tomorrow and seeing what they say..?

Tim, You could also inform your Bank of you going BR, if your bank isnt related to a creditor the rule of offset wont apply, and if they are BR friendly such as Coop and Barclays it may stay open.
The bank may even change the account to a basic savings account, you would lose your DDIs and SOI facilities but at least your wages wont go astray.
Best of luck

Our BR hearing was last monday and my OR still hasn't informed our banks yet so I've been able to draw out my husbands wages that were paid in last friday, even today!!! I think it takes the OR a while to write & inform everyone. |

Hi HBOS which own Bank of Scotland dont allow bankrupts, however I think but am not sure but they dont share data between their businesses such as IF.COM.
Halifax were one of my creditors and I still have a sainsburys account.
If I was you I would ring Bank of Scotland tell them that you are going BR tomorrow and that you understand that you cant keep the account, however your wages are being paid in on Thursday would they allow you to remove the monies first. When I went BR halifax closed the account the day after with me. Their are other banks out there such as Coop, Barclays or thinkbanking. your other alternative is to move your BR back until you are paid
Best of luck
