Hi
Working towards annulment of wife's B.R. Agreed a deal with one of the creditors to pay half the 'claimed' out standing debt. The O.R. will not accept this and is insisting we pay the whole amount.
Can the O.R. do this? Even though the creditor has put in writing that they are happy with the arrangement.

Hi,

I can only assume that to get the BR annuled you need to pay off all of your debts, not just part of them.

However, I'm not 100% sure about that, so hopefully one of the experts will be along to give you and answer.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

Hi
absolutely kallis spot on.

You can only annul on 100% repayment to all creditors irrespective of the creditor being willing to accept a lower offer.

Please be aware that even if you somehow managed to repay all the creditors in full, your annulment will still not be granted unless you pay the trustee's fees in full as well. This could well be thousands and if the trustee is from the private sector it could be tens of thousands.
