My update falls a little late this week so apologies for this.

Firstly I would like to extend a warm welcome to Melanie Giles, to our panel of experts, Melanie has been in the industry for over twenty years and brings a vast wealth of knowledge to the forum.
Melanie is a forum expert on our sister site www.IVA.co.uk and for over a year has been helping people in financial difficulty by giving advice and answering questions.
We thank you for taking time out of your schedule to post on the Bankruptcy site as well as the IVA site.

Further to my update on the 20th March the forum has continued to grow and the number of new members and questions is, as I mentioned in my last update, down to the panel of experts like Melanie who are on hand to answer your questions and give advice so a big thank you to all the experts.

After some initial teething problems our Blogs are now up and running so I would like to invite you all to share your own stories and experiences so that others may learn and draw comfort that they are not alone in the battle through their difficult times.

I will be updating my Blog weekly with updates to the site and forum as well as up and coming events and industry news.

All the best

Hi Julian, I post a lot on iva.co.uk and I have a blog on there and I was wondering if it would be possible to copy it onto this site. To cut a long story short I started off in an IVA and went BR 5 months later as I couldn't afford the payments and the blog has my story from the start of my IVA to my discharge last weekend - I'm just too lazy to type it all out again!

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Hi Skippy13,

Yes you can copy it across.

If you set up your blog as with IVA and then copy and paste across your story this will save you having to write it all again.

I look forward to reading it.

All the best.

Thank you so much for your kind words Julian, and I will certainly continue to post on this forum as time permits.

Can I also say how nice it is to see Skippy cross-foruming, as she is able to offer sound practical advice from the other side of the fence, and is an immense support to posters who are experiencing the first steps towards bankruptcy.

Hi,

Skippy it is great to see you on here I have read your Blog and you have a great story to share for those in your situation.

Melanie from the times on most of your postings I ask the question do you sleep?
The dedication you have to helping people is an inspiration to others.

Brett thanks for your kind words and I have read your Blogs and couldn't agree more.

Have a good weekend all

Julian

I do sleep but less and less as I get older! I do hail from a military background where we were actually trained to manage sleep, to the extent that you can manage on four to six hours per night fairly effeciently - so perhaps I am luckier than most!

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com

Thanks for the warm welcome! I am trying to copy my blog across - I have set up a blog on this site, but I can't log in to paste anything! I have changed my password twice already, but I still can't log in.

If anyone has any ideas what I might be doing wrong I'd be very grateful!

Thanks Brett - unfortunately it won't let me re-register as my email address already exists!

Sorry for coming over here and causing problems!

No problem at all it's good to have you here.

I had to get them to delete my first two before we worked out what the problem was.

It worked! Thanks Admin! I've copied my blog over and hopefully it might help someone. I read it through for the first time and I can't believe how much my life has changed!

One more question - how do I put a link at the bottom of my signature? I know I did it on iva.co.uk but it's so long ago I've forgotten!
