would it be possible for just my partner who i live with to go bankrupt without me having to, and if he could would they be able to seize any of my possesions ie tv in my name etc

Hi,

It is possible for him to do it on his own. If you have any joint debts though, I believe you will chased for them as you are jointly and severally liable.

No household posessions are seized unless they are of high value.
