| Is this normal? I declared my self Bankrupt 2 days ago, paid my fee and swore my oath. I was then told i would recieve a call from them with the outcome of the hearing withing 48 hours. It has been way past 48 Hours and I'm getting bit worried now! |

I sadly can't give you an answer but i'm sure there will be an expert along shortly and they will be able to help.
Generally speaking though don't worry its only money and its not worth it

Hi
I've not come across a situation whereby the hearing result is advised 2 days after the petition has been submitted before.
If you haven't heard by this afternoon call the court and ask to speak to the bankruptcy clerk.

Thanks, I will do just that. The guy before me was told the same thing, that he'll recieve a call within 48 hrs. As you can imagine i'm climbing the walls waiting for that call! I'll let you know how I get on.

Recieved call today to say that I am now bankrupt!! Thank goodness for that! Was told the OR will contact me within 72 hrs. Can now breathe again! Thank you all for the great advise. This forum has been a real god send making the whole process of bankruptcy so much clearer.
