Hi The coop said to me if you are BR you wont have any money why would you need to save, therefore you cant have a savings account until the br drops off the credit record - 6 years
Oh and today they froze my account as they found out I was bankrupt took 40 minutes wait on the phone to get it unfroze

I have just been refused a co-op savings account, even though I have their Cash Minder; but great advice about the Yorkshire Building Society. Opened in under 10 minutes online. Thanks everyone,

Jonny

Good news Jonny, Yorkshire has been great so far and very easy to operate and the Link Card is an absolute bonus.

I am not sure that the advice that Yorkshire are not BR friendly is correct as I am also on another forum and several people have the account after BR which is fully operating.

Good Luck,
Trish

I don't know if thinks have changed but I phoned Yorkshire before I was discharged and was told they wouldn't open an account for me until I was discharged.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.
