on behalf of a close friend....he is not facing bankrupcy..yet..but all his accounts have been frozen, he suspects his ex wife is behind this, what can you advise , he cannot pay his rent, get to work, eat, pay bills,etc... what happens next?

Is this a joint account? If it is then I don't know how they can freeze them unless he owes them alot of money. If its joint his ex wife won't be able to do anything on the account without his say so. If its not a joint account then his wife can't do anything about that either.

We would love to give you more advice if you are willing to post some more details.

Hi

your friend may not have declared bankruptcy but a creditor may have.

Check the insolvency register for free online.
Google "insolvency register", check "all courts in England & Wales" and enter his name.

Many thanks for you postings. I shall further research some info on the advice you have given me.
