Hello, Ive posted on here yesterday but have another question. Just to recap, Im self employed electrician who was made bankrupt last dec 08 for 60k. My IPAs havent started yet and ive just recieved a tax return for 08/09. Do i have to fill it in? I heard that i dont have to pay tax for the year that i went bankrupt? pls help, thanks

Yes, you do need to complete your self-assessment.

Don't send any money off with it, as you may be issued with a nill tax code, but if you are this money will be considered by the OR for an IPA - so don't spend it.
