Which form is it? If it is the 6.27/6.28 form for bankruptcy then you don't sign these until you get to the court and it is witnessed by a clerk (or someone else?) there. |

No- this is the one you receive after which notes yr duties and responsibilities. Which you have to agree to and get someone to witness |

Not sure, but doesnt this have to be someone within a certain profession i.e nurse, solicitor, doctor etc. My mate is a solicitor so I asked him to sign it for me. How about asking your GP to sign it as he has to keep it confidential.

If you don't want your friends or family to witness it you could always go to a solicitor but they would probably charge you or does it have to be witnessed by someone who has known you for a certain length of time? |

Blimey! I seem to have all the duff luck. The form says "can be witnessed by friend or family" I explained to OR on phone that would be problematic but he said it has to be done. I guess I could try CAB or the company I took debt advice. |

No, 2Stressed is right. I had to have mine signed by a witness too. It's definitely part of the procedure. |

Hi
its part of the procedure as it goes to the courts, basically its a compliance thing like you wont take out more than £500 unsecured debt, you will inform future creditors of br, you will inform your or of any windfalls or changes to income and exp, etc

Bit of a confusion here
The forms that are being discussed are the forms received from the OR after you have petitioned.
there are 3 lots of forms that arrive within 2 weeks.
1. Purjory act 2. authority to speak to the tax man 3. ethnic monitoring form
these can be witnesed by anyone that knows you

Probably best going to the CAB - by the time you post the docs to the IP and get them back you will probably have missed your 14 day window ( the OR does everything in 14 day blocks it seems)
Gally, suprised that you have not received the forms, did you have a face to face interview as they are often handed out in person then ?
