John ... we are just so lucky to have you on this site. When I think how my creditors bullied me as I did not know any better. A well known Credit Card Company talked me into parting with my £300.00 rent money so I was in rent arrears and they knew it was for rent. When I sent then a letter asking them to please let me have the money back as I was bullied into parting with it over the phone they totally ignored my letter. The phone calls I found could be very intimidating and I caved in under their pressure. My other 2 creditors were Banks who were very nice initially and then turned on me and told me bankruptcy would be a disaster for me and I would never recover from it. So I took their advice and carried on for years living on beans and chips just in order to make their minimum payments. [Ignorance is certainly not bliss].
