There are a few banks that will allow undischarged bankrupts an account. The accounts are basic accounts and do not require a credit check. Barclay Bank - 0845 755 5555 CO-op - 0845 721 2212 Gregory Pennington (£12.50/month managing account fee)- 0800 161 3516.
There is also a pre-paid Mastercard. Again no credit check required. This is good for people who need to gradually and gently have their dose of plastic(the 'feel' of a credit card in their hands)decreased AND for people who require the versatility of a credit card.

Does anyone know if the Barclays account has a debit card? I think this is the one my partner will be going for after hes filed his bankruptcy next week. |
