Like many others here, I also subscribe to bankruptcy forums on other sites. I just wanted to draw people's attention to what I found to be a really good overview of the bankruptcy process on The Motley Fool website at www.fool.co.uk. From there, click on 'Discussion Boards', then 'Dealing with Debt' under the 'Managing Your Finances' header. Click on any post and to the right you will see a list of essential posts. The post that I would refer people to is 'Bankruptcy - Questions and Practicalities'.

I think that it will provide a lot of reassurance to most people, who are considering bankruptcy. I wish that I had seen it when I first contemplated this road. By the way, I am not plugging anything. I am not the author, that honour belongs to somebody called 'Manzanilla' so credit to him/her.

I have come across this board as well and there is a lot of information and some good letter templates to send to creditors, steps on how to chase up your creditors once your BR has been discharged, etc.
