HELP AGAIN PLEASE!!!!MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE NO OPTION BUT TO DECLARE BANKRUPTCY. MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN UNEMPLOYED FOR 10MTHS AND RECEIVES NO INCOME WHATSOEVER AND IT'S DOWN TO ME TO TRY TO KEEP THING AFLOAT - BUT WE'RE SINKING FAST. HAVE POSTED BEFORE AS WE HAVE A HOUSE THAT WE HAVE RENTED OUT - WITH THE PERMISSION OF THE MTG COMP - TO TRY AND STARVE OF BR, AND I WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT THE BI. I AM FEELING A LITTLE CLEARER ON THIS SUBJECT, BUT WHAT I WANT TO KNOW NOW IS- IF MY HUBBY DECLARES BR B4 ME AS HE HAS NO INCOME, WOULD THE OR STILL PUT A CLLAIM OVER THE HOUSE, AS I WILL STILL HAVE AN INTEREST IN IT AND CURRENTLY PAY THE MTG SHORTFALL AS THE RENT DOESN'T COVER IT ALL? WE HAVE GIVEN OUR TENTANT NOTICE, WHICH ENDS IN SEPT, AND THIS IS WHEN I PLAN TO GO BR, AND HAND THE KEYS OVER TO THE MTG COMP, OR MOVE BACK IN AND TRY TO HANG ONTO THE HOUSE AND GET A 3RD PARTY TO BUY THE BI FOR A £1 + COSTS. |

Hi
I would stongly urge you to contact one of the site experts to work through the plan of exactly what to do and when.
There are some things that you definately need to do in the right order and others that reading your post you are putting the wrong emphasis on.
You may well feel better haveing a chat so you can understand what options you actually have.

The timing and planning before BR can be essential and it also makes it less stressful if you know whats going on and when its going to happen. IMHO the hardest part is accepting you will be going BR and when you accept it and know you will be so much better off afterwards, the relief is great and the rest is easy, More so if you enlist the help of someone who knows the system and can give good advice.

Thanks Paul an Dave for your replys.
Have taken Pauls advice and contacted a member of the team at Reviva. We're going to talk through every thing over the phone tomorrow evening!
We have both accepted BR is the only way forward and have started completing the online forms in preparation, but just when I think I've understood one element, I think of another million questions about something else. Is that just me or is that what br does to you?????
