my friend owns the entire equity in our property as I came on it instead of her ex husband and if house prices rose, then I would bet a small share of that growth, if I was to go bankrupt, how does she protect her share? Also, on declaring bankruptcy, will they make me move out of my home immediately as I have animals etc that would be disasterous.....

Depends on the situation really, do you pay towards the house? Is the % you would get of the euity written down officially anywhere? Is your name on the mortgatgage?
